Workspace and Productivity

I’m hosting a free webinar/video broadcast. Watch it live here:

Sound directly impacts our work performance – from our creativity, to our physical comfort – and yet many of us work in spaces that are simply not fit for purpose. Most office soundscapes are accidental and unproductive and problematic noise is rarely recognised or dealt with.

In this live video broadcast, I’ll help you to take control of your sound at work. We’ll be exploring:
- the 5 most common mistakes in workspaces
- how an office can be too loud or too quiet
- the effects of noise on health
- the world’s worst sound for productivity
- how to triple your effectiveness in a noisy office

So join me live on Wednesday 19th February at 19:00 GMT for this interactive On-Air Hangout. Confirm your attendance on this Google+ event page and feel free to submit any questions too.

A busy week

This week is packed full of travel and exciting opportunities. I’m currently in Gronigen, where I’m visiting the students at Hanze University. Yesterday evening I held a Q&A session, which was followed this morning by the keynote speech at their International Space seminar.

This afternoon I’m off to Stockholm to deliver the keynote speech at Studio Atrium Ljunberg’s seminar, ‘Open office spaces – heaven or hell? New thoughts on soundscaping in space and place.’ I’ll be speaking about the workplace and the impact of sound on productivity. It looks set to be an interesting day.

Later in the week I’ll be flying to Regensburg to train some of The Sound Agency’s clients, and then it’s off to Qatar to speak at the ARC_ME conference!
